Lauren D’Addario is a sales, marketing and public relations professional with over 20 years of experience in health care promotion. Lauren demonstrates continued success in practice development, site growth and community reputation building, while delivering consistent sales results. Her strengths are in long term relationship building and business expansion through marketing, sales, social media, direct mail, event planning and public relations.
Mrs. D’Addario graduated from Melrose High School in Melrose, MA. There she was on the swim and tennis teams. She was also the art editor of the school yearbook, founded the political club, and worked on the school newspaper.
Lauren then attended the University of Massachusetts – Lowell and Middlesex Community College. She graduated with an associate degree in liberal arts & sciences from Middlesex, and graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in community health education and a minor in nutrition from UMASS Lowell.
Lauren began her career at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston as a Public Affairs Associate. At Spaulding, Lauren created, designed and implemented an “Email a Patient” program on their website and “From the Desk of the President,” their first electronic monthly newsletter.
Mrs. D’Addario then worked at Lowe Grob Health & Science in Cambridge, MA, an integrated communications agency that specialized in the biopharmaceutical, life sciences and medical device industries. She was a public, professional & investor relations account executive. She established working relationships with national business, trade and broadcast media and participated in strategic and tactical planning. She was responsible for researching and pursuing editorial opportunities, media relations, pitching, identifying speaking opportunities and managing relationships with all external vendors. She wrote core documents such as press releases and monthly PR reports, and researched new business clients and prospects.
Lauren then worked at The MRI Centers of New England in Chelsea, MA, an outpatient diagnostic imaging services provider. She worked as an image services representative. Lauren was accountable for all outside sales, marketing and PR of the location.
Mrs. D’Addario then moved on to an area outpatient physical therapy company. She began as a patient representative and moved up to the director of public relations and then the vice president of PR & marketing. Lauren spent eight years with that company, helping to grow it from 1 clinic to 4 sites. It is also where she met HDPT co-founders Glenn & Ed. Lauren was responsible for the outside sales of the company. She developed new, and maintained existing relationships with physicians and office staff; educated and presented to physicians and office staff about available services and always worked to create and maintain a strong community reputation that set them apart from their competition. Her public relations duties included researching editorial opportunities; developing, writing and editing documents such as press releases, articles and newsletters and executing a complete social media program.
Marketing and promotions activities include website development; marketing material research and creation; the formation of internal promotional pieces including all brochures, cards, calendars and displays; the planning and coordinating of community events, injury screenings, educational seminars and open houses. Managed direct mail program including the mailing content, scheduling and mailing lists. Managed all advertising. Gathered and used patient testimonials and success stories. Business development activities included participating in strategic planning and positioning; analyzing referral statistics and trends; monitoring the strategies and services of area competitors, hosting surveys of area community and medical providers and referrers, and preparing reports.
Lauren has been with HD Physical Therapy since it’s inception. She is responsible for all areas of sales, marketing and public relations. Projects include: developing a new logo and brand image; creating a community presence; designing a website including all content and photos; generating all marketing materials including brochures, prescription pads and business cards; fostering new relationships with area referring physicians, as well as local businesses and organizations; producing a monthly mailing campaign to 1200+ physicians, including originating the mailing list and letter content; writing monthly press releases, blog posts and newsletters; cultivating a new social media program, and well as planning and coordinating community events.
Lauren enjoys cooking and working out. She lives in Middleton with her husband Glenn and daughters Sophie & Stella.
